Lord Rogers visits The Deptford Project
Lord Rogers came to Deptford yesterday to walk around our site and have lunch at The Deptford Project Cafe. He was visiting with Joan Ruddock, the MP for Deptford, to talk about how the project came about in the first place. Here he is with Richard Upton and Nick Stonley from United House.Joan asked Rogers, Stirk, Harbour & Partners to collaborate with her on a scheme for The Deptford High Street railway yard some years ago. That was the scheme that was eventually converted into the project that we bid for and won in 2007. Now, 4 years on, Lord Rogers and his team have produced a brilliant scheme in collaboration with Ash Sakula Architects, we have a planning application in and we are gearing up for the chance to get cracking.
